The new warehouse, which will be completed in 2008, will offset the carbon footprint of our new computer system by including an electricity-generating windmill, to recycle electricity back into the grid. The company is aiming towards becoming carbon neutral, if not reducing the carbon footprint below this.
BIO DIESEL

FWP Matthews Ltd is aiming to use Biodiesel we are looking to blend to B50 = 50% biodiesel, 50% regular diesel.

The benefits to using Biodiesel:
Reducing carbon emissions.
Cost effective - can be cheaper than fossil fuels.
Biodiesel has a greater lubricity value thus reducing wear and tear and will actually be beneficial as an additive to Ultra Low Sulphur Fuel diesel now being introduced. Integrates well with current engine technology.
Flexible - Can be used in the purest form B100 or as a blend with petroleum diesel. This enables you to choose how much biodiesel is introduced and at whatever mix you desire. |
