I make pizza every Friday night and had previously used regular strong white bread flour. I bought this from my local Aldis, just to give it a try. It’s amazing! The pizza dough is so smooth and stretchy and makes a delicious base.Crispy yet still soft. I have no hesitation in recommending this flour. Just glad I’ve found it online as Aldis don’t seem to have it anymore.

I found this flour in Aldi’s and thought I would give it a try, well it was absolutely the greatest success as I made pizza for 7 people and it was agreed it was the best pizza they hade ever eaten. The dough is so smooth and stretchy and really do make the best base ever. I cannot seem to get it anymore in Aldi but I will now buy it from where ever I can as it is well worth the money as anyone who eats pizza will know that it can be so expensive to go and buy from takeaways. While I was in the mood I also used it for tea cakes which were equally as good.

I sourced this flour in particular for my niece who wanted to make her own pasta for ravioli. She was entering a competition at school. The flour was a great success as her Tipo 00 flour made fantastic pasta so much so that she has won 1st place at school and is now in the semifinals in November.
This flour is quality flour with a difference and as you can see it is approved and recommended to take you the extra mile.

    • Hi Jane,

Thank you so much for your kind words. I am so happy to hear that the flour has worked wonders for your niece, and please tell her that everyone here at FWP Matthews wishes her the best of luck! Please do keep us updated!

On a whim I decided to buy some of the pasta attachments for my Kenwood. 500gm of this flour, 4 eggs, some olive oil and salt – amazing pasta! Much better than shop-bought fresh pasta. This mix provides 4 two-person servings – we eat one and freeze the rest. We won’t be buying pasta again.

I bought this flour from Aldi, to try it out.
It had made the most wonderful products such as focaccia and pizza that I needed more flour so I ordered it direct from the mill.
It came promptly and is wonderful.
Thank you for this wonderful flour.

My daughter wanted flour for making pasta in Food Tech at school, so I bought MCF Tipo 00 flour from my local ASDA, I was told this is the type of flour needed- it wasn’t cheap. Anyway, I had to write this review. I have been making my own pizza dough for years, using normal strong bread flour- pizzas were great & haven’t bought frozen pizzas for ages. Also made my own pizza sauce. Anyway, I had Tipo 00 flour left over, I used it to make my pizza dough- what a difference!- I now spend extra to buy this flour for pizza making- fabulous to work with & the pizzas taste so much better than when I had made it with normal bread flour. I also used it to make focaccia- my husband & daughter stated it was the best bread I had made so far!! Made 2 focaccia- was gone in a day! I wanted to make some more focaccia as I had some fresh basil but used normal bread flour as didn’t have any Tipo 00 flour in the cupboard- well- it was a waste- not delicious, texture was different, flavour awful- my huskies didn’t mind though! So, basically, what I’m saying is for all my pizza dough & other Italian type breads I would definitely recommend using your flour! Thank you, I’m glad I discovered it by accident- as would not have bought it normally because of the price but now I see the difference I wouldn’t mind paying the extra few £ as you know it’s going to be a quality bake!- thanks again.

First tried this from my Local Aldi and used it for Pizza which I make quite regularly. I used to use a strong white bread flour but this is so much better. So glad I tried this product, I think I bought pretty much all of my local Ald’s stock and then discovered I could actually get it online which was a great relief as we missed it in our Pizza when we ran out. I now have a cupboard full which should last a little while before I need to stock up again and buyinh online has worked out much cheaper win win…..
