Baking is marvelous for our stomachs and more importantly, our souls and minds. Here are five reasons why we believe baking can benefit our mental health: 1. Communicate One’s Feelings When baking for yourself or others, you can often find yourself using baked goods to convey your feelings or mood.
1. Avoid fake Amazon accounts Amazon has a major issue regarding the immense number of fake accounts on its eCommerce platform. The prominence of fake Amazon accounts has continued to grow to a point that Amazon has to launch a new service called Amazon Fraud Detector to specifically battle fake
This offer is exclusive to Cotswold Baking Club Members. The day consists of intro teas and coffees and a presentation by one of the Matthews on the history and provenance of the mill. You will then be invited to take a tour of the mill learning how the milling process works and has changed over the years.
You will see each stage of the journey from grain testing, milling, packing and finally baking. We will have one of our bakers prepare some sample loaves to taste.
Ensure you sign up to the baking club and look out for notifications for when we are able to run the tours of the mill again.
Due to the recent events, we have had to pause our Baking Club Missions. We will be in contact with more details when these are up and running again.Matthews Cotswold Flour are currently working on some new and exciting products, and we need our Cotswold Flour Baking Club expertise. We have produced some trial samples of a new authentic Italian grown and milled premium pizza flour to add to our range.
We are looking for volunteers to trial bake a number of flour samples and give us feedback on the best results. If this sounds like something you’d be interested in, please apply below. We will send you some free flour, a recipe and a feedback form.

We are currently running reduced opening hours on our website to ensure we fulfil all our current orders. The best place to see updates is on our Facebook, Instagram and sign up to the baking club. Once we are caught up we will return to extended opening times.
Orders are currently being dispatched from the mill within 14 - 21 working days of placing your order. As we move forward and catch up with the backlog this lead time will decrease. We ask that all customers be considerate when ordering as large orders slow our fulfilment down during this time. If you have a PayPal email confirmation and/or an email from us then we have your order and will be processing it.
We request that customers email us on email@example.com. Please refrain from calling as we need to keep the limited lines open for our baking community to place their commercial orders.
If you have paid by PayPal and have a receipt then yes, it is in the system. We will process and dispatch your order as fast as we can. Once dispatched you will receive a text message from DPD advising of a delivery date.
On the website there is an option to collect your order. We process orders in the date order they are received. You will be contacted to advise of a collection date and time, and instructions for collection. Please allow up to 14 - 21 days at present due to high demand.
Under normal circumstances we would accommodate phone or email orders from our customers, however at present we can’t. Sheer volume dictates that all domestic orders must be placed via our online shop.
Yes you can however we ask that all customers read the FAQ page first. We endeavour to answer 90% of queries on this page.
If you feel you would like to cancel your order please email firstname.lastname@example.org. Clearly state your order number in the email header. If the order has not already been dispatched we can cancel it.
We deliver to the UK mainland. Including England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland. Deliveries to the Scottish Highlands & Islands, Northern Ireland, Eire, Channel Islands, Isle of Man, Isles of Scilly and Isle of Wight will usually take a few extra working days from dispatch and will be subject to a surcharge.
We are working on expanding our deliveries to other areas and countries in the near future.
It’s weight based shipping, but the minimum charge is £8.03 for 7.5kg and £8.39 for 16kg both include VAT.
Normally we would accommodate this but sadly at this time we cannot change or add items.
We deliver using DPD. They may send you a notification if you have provided your mobile number.
Please leave instructions when placing your order about where you would like your parcel to be left.

The Matthews Cotswold flour mill is owned and run by Father and Son team Paul Matthews and Bertie Matthews the great, great and great*3 grandsons of the founder Frederick William Powell Matthews steeped in tradition, FWP Matthews Ltd represents an important part of the local industrial heritage.
Situated on the edge of the beautiful Cotswold hills in the village of Shipton under Wychwood this traditional mill produces a wide range of quality natural and conventional flours. We still use the original building that was completed in 1912.
Lovely to bake with @CotswoldFlour today - from the next village to where we lived for a year. We can’t visit at present, but being able to enjoy local grain will be the next best thing
@KMckilligan @CotswoldFlour I’ve got a 16 kilo bag of Cotswold crunch on the go, I’m also working through 25 kilo of white flour which I bought some time ago fortunately.
These two are a recent a bake, one is half Cotswold with Caraway seeds, the other is white.
No other bread is like it, it’s heaven.
