PM David Cameron defends bread price ignorance and plugs local miller
A West Country miller got a plug from the Prime Minister David Cameron during a radio interview defended his ignorance of the price of budget supermarket bread.
The Prime Minister said he prefers to bake his children healthy home-made granary loaves made with local flour, Cotswold Crunch milled by FWP Matthews Ltd.
‘How much is a value loaf? I don’t know… I’ve got a £100 breadmaker at home’: Cameron struggles in cost-of-living radio quiz (but he did manage to plug posh Cotswolds flour)
David Cameron today admitted he did not know how much a value sliced loaf costs in supermarkets – because he makes his own using a breadmaker.
He struggled to identify a 47p budget loaf, instead promoting artisan bread flour made in the Cotswolds.
